Each year the members of ISCB are called upon to help steer the future direction of the Society by nominating those members who will serve as our future leaders. Self-nominations will not be accepted in any category.
Election of new Board Members to fill open seats will take place at the annual Board of Directors meeting prior to ISMB/ECCB 2025; election of Officers and Student Council Leaders will take place through online voting of the membership July 12 - July 16, 2025. All elected members will take office in January 2026.
ISCB Community of Special Interest (COSI) Committee nominations to stand for election to the appointed Board of Directors positions reserved for the committee are sought annually from July - August. Election of the new Board member is held starting in September to close prior to the ISCB Board of Directors meeting in October. Each COSI receives one vote to elect the representative to the Board.
ISCB Affiliated Groups Committee nominations are held every two-half years when the current representative is in the last half-year of the Board term. Nominations are sough July - August from the committee members. Election of the new Board members is held starting in September to close prior to the ISCB Board of Directors Meeting in October. Each Affiliated Group representative receives one vote.

Nominees will be sent an invitation to complete a candidate statement, which will serve as their acceptance of the nomination and provide valuable information during the endorsement and election periods.
