Advance educational programs program in computational oncology, cancer systems biology,
computational immunology, or genomics. Broadly, this will include teaching customized short
workshops, online classes, developing curricula, and coordinating training opportunities in
genomics, single-cell and imaging analysis, multi-omics, machine learning and/or mathematical
modeling for cancer. Develop creative educational programs (e.g., internships, fellowships, hackathons, and symposia) to attract trainees and advance team science data science initiatives with cancer biologists, technology developers, and clinical investigators in the Convergence Institute and Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and broader Johns Hopkins University. Emphasis on promoting diversity and outreach in these initiatives will be encouraged. Developing curricula to disseminate computational oncology nationally and mentoring teams of diverse trainees across the Johns Hopkins University, consistent with the goals of the educational pathway professorial track in the School of Medicine.
Qualifications
Tenure Track Faculty: Suitable candidates will hold a Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics,
biostatistics, computer science, physics or similar field, with interest and experience in applications to
cancer. The successful candidate will be primarily focused on computational education, and will have
opportunities to advance computational research commensurate with experience.
