The Bhattacharya Laboratory at Auburn University invites applications for multiple fully funded PhD student positions. Self-motivated and enthusiastic candidates interested to conduct exciting interdisciplinary research in computational biology and bioinformatics leveraging core areas of machine learning and optimization algorithms are encouraged to apply.
PhD students are eligible for financial support throughout the duration of their doctoral studies with competitive stipend and full tuition waiver. Additional financial supplements in the form of various student fellowships are also available for outstanding candidates.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or bioinformatics, and substantial programming experience. Exceptional candidates with a bachelor’s degree will also be considered. Previous academic or industrial research experience is a plus. Additional desirable qualities include good communication skills and strong enthusiasm to work in a multidisciplinary research environment.
