Postdoctoral Position in Protein Structural Bioinformatics

The Bhattacharya Laboratory at Auburn University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop novel data-driven machine learning and optimization algorithms for computational protein modeling. This postdoctoral position will focus on new and creative algorithm developments for high-accuracy protein structure prediction and refinement.
Postdoctoral researchers are eligible for up to two years of support with competitive salary and benefits package. All re-appointments are dependent upon a satisfactory progress review and continued funding.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics, or related field, and familiarity with algorithms and machine learning. Life scientists with significant computational expertise should also apply. Familiarity with bioinformatics databases and tools is a plus. Additional desirable qualities include the ability to effectively work both independently and in a team, good communication skills, and a passion for both computational method development and biological discovery.
